Day 5
Yash Raj dropped a sitter off Anish early on Day 5
Luck continued to favor Anish and evade Prithvi Raj as a staggering four lbw appeals were turned down by the umpire in the 30th over
Sinha greeted Ryder to the bowling crease with a massive hit over square leg
Anish was given out this time as the man with the golden arm struck
The same old problems resurfaced for Neville as he was found constantly poking and prodding to the spinners
The match opened up further as Neville fell to Jack Ryder for the third time in four innings
Simranjit Singh started to open up with a few boundaries
Shubham Om Sinha brought up his second fifty of the match
The Australians erupted in joy when Sinha was bowled attempting to play a cut shot. Another 83 to get with only 4 wickets in hand for England, what a dramatic turnaround..
Kristian Lee started off from where he left in the first innings by smashing Ryder for a couple of boundaries to prove that "he don't count as no tailender".
Singh and Lee coasted along as the deficit kept getting narrower and narrower
Benjamin Phillip struck to remove Lee and further increase the tension
Rustagi started playing his shots to take the deficit into single figures
Sim brought the deficit down to just 1 with a glorious straight hit off Gurupur which also brought up his half-century
The luckless Vaibhav Tewatia got his first wicket of the match as Rustagi mistimed a booming cover drive straight into Umair's hands. A win is still possible for Australia if he knocks over the incoming tailenders in the next two deliveries..

But it's turned down by the umpire
The desperate Australians went for another appeal next ball but the umpire didn't bother to notice this time. Spinner safely negotiated Tewatia to give the well settled Simranjit strike for the next over
A misfield from Agger helped Sim level the scores. Only an English victory or a tie possible from here on..
Safely negotiated by Spinner again, which leaves Sim to either hit the winning runs or throw it away
The tension came to an end at long last with Sim finishing it off with a single
England edged out Australia in a thrilling 5-day contest to level the Ashes 1-1 and bring the series alive. Simranjit Singh was duly named Man of the Match for his match turning 5-fer and innings of 52* which saw England through in the end.

On a personal note that's very disappointing to give away runs at 3.3 in last innings as compared to a very economical but wicketless first innings performance.
