PC Fantasy League

Actually I gambled on the right teams. The big problem is, like I said earlier, I made 3 useless transfers. I thought for the next round there were again unlimited transfers. I swapped a couple of players for lower rated players, who didn't even play, so I could use the gained points for higher rated players, who could play.

Just noticed they took out the teams no longer in the tournament so my plan to pick the 1 value players during the unlimited transfers could well pay off when I need the extra cash. Took a punt on Elano and looks like he might not even play again this tournament.

That's what I actually wanted to do. :laugh Just get a couple of lower rank players, so I could buy easily some value players.

Hehe I guess they got taken out by the time you did those trades? I took 4 non playing players which didn't really pay off as didn't make much ground with that extra cash. Although didn't help myself when I didn't sub in Kaka. Probably could have used another keeper as my guy didn't go as well as I would have liked.

Never thought most of my players would come from Uruguay but that is how it ended up. Didn't have enough money for a strike so had to go with the Uruguay cheap option. Hopefully they get through to make my life a lot easier.

Had to transfer out one of my keepers who wasn't knocked out, as both of my ones remaining were playing on the first day, and I wanted one playing on the second day, so that cost me one of my free transfers.

ATM after my four free transfers I have:

Day one

4 Uruguayans
3 Brazilians
3 Ghanaians (1 suspended)
1 Dutchman

Day two

4 Spanish
2 Argentines
1 German
1 Paraguayan

Random

3 Japs
1 Amercan

I had a tough time making those 4 transfers.

I have now got 2 back-up (It means the player plays on 3rd July) defenders, 2 back-up mid-fielders (One will be in the XI but only plays tomorrow) and 2 back-up forwards out of which 1 is a Paraguayan who most likely won't be in the XI.

I have no back-up keeper, so I want the one that plays today to be at his best. I need at least one of my defenders to do well today. And I want 2 out of 3 mid-fielders to play well along with 2 forwards out of 3 to do well.

I can stay at the top only if the above wishes come true. Let me hope for the best ! :upray

Also I made the Uruguayan keeper my captain, so I'm hoping they keep a clean sheet against Ghana.

That means if he manages a clean sheet, I will still be falling down in the standings since you have made him your captain. I have got no back-up keeper as well. :facepalm

So, I have only got one thing to hope for: Uruguayan keeper manage something like 6 points and the Ghana forward score a goal. Then it will give me a slight edge since I'll have my best players coming in tomorrow.

It will be perfect for me if the Netherlands win today with a clean sheet because CG has got only 1 Dutch in his team and that is probably Sneidjer (Whom I have got as well).

I have the Spanish keeper waiting if he fails.
Really awesome that you have got Casillas because if Muslera fetches something like 6 points, then you'll surely be in a selection dilemma to replace him with Casillas or not. So, if your gamble fails, then you are out. I never expected you to have Casillas but I know you'll surely be expecting a clean sheet but still it will be great if Spain can win it 2-1.

Akash00 added 2 Minutes and 50 Seconds later...

By the way, I need NED to beat BRA ; URU to beat GHN ; GER to beat ARG & ESP to beat PAR.

TBH I don't really get what you're saying?
How am I gambling, I done the opposite of gambling by bringing in an extra keeper incase one fails. :yes
Paraguay are all defence, so I don't really expect them to score against Spain.

I was saying that if Muslera fails to keep a clean sheet and gets something like 6 points (there are chances of more than 6 saves because Ghana have players like Gyan and Prince and they just shoot from anywhere in the field right on target) and if you change him, then there are chances of Casillas too missing a clean sheet and only getting something like 3-4 because as I said, Paraguay will definitely try to score a goal and be defensive after scoring. So Casillas won't have any chances for saves too.

BTW Netherlands beat Brazil and that is good news for me because CG has got 3 Brazilians while I have got only 2 and he has got only 1 Dutch while I have got 3 Dutch in my team.
