Blimey, never expected that, although a few of the better graphics makers were missing. I love how Neo gave me 3 out of 10 just because of the simplicity. I'm glad I won because it shows that graphics are not all about effects but the actual aesthetics of the work.

Oh, and didn't know we had to send in a theme, I thought we were asked.

I think all the judges need to lighten their hearts up and know judging isn't all finding remarks and giving good marks to every entry that gets you on with that "ahha" look. Pretty disappointed frankly, there's much not help coming from there. Like it or not. I'm not saying you're wrong but you'd help as a judge and not show highness from your level. As this competition is to get graphics makers stronger, beginner would get tips and help in the way he's going, same with people in intermediate progress and fine graphics makers get judged or corrected.

Judging is not just look, don't feel it, ok, give what you feel. Anyone can do it Why are you specially chosen as judges? Because you can help. By your experience and knowledge. Ratings are secondary.

But, are they really, KBC? They seem more like judges to me. I thought their job was to give a rating, this is a competition and not a guide..

In people's individual threads I am more than happy and am 100% encouraging people to post feedback, but this is a competition so I'm not sure if I agree with you. Then again, you practically founded it so I better not argue. I suppose you are right and that we should be helping everyone improve.. it will be good when we have competitions with a number of skilled users entering.

If it was just ratings there would be no judges. The removal of Public poll was this reason in the first place. The judges know it, I'm not saying all but few are brilliant as well. It shouldn't be like got the ratings request, see, rate, done. People argue and defend themselves and serve back but all we're doing is to have a better competition. Fun's not there when you're not doing it the right way.
