Has there ever been a GOTW competition that wasn't about Cricket or sports in general. I mean how many times will you make the same thing?

I prefer a cricket related theme. If you want to make non-cricket related things then you can post it in your individual thread.

Check out the GFX battles thread. If you are willing to run it (it's not too hard), then you can use that competition for pretty much anything since you choose the subject. I know a few people tried to revive it but it's not really being run by anyone at the moment and if it is, I don't think it's in very good hands.

One on one battles are not fun. I want lots of people to participate. I was thinking a "Favorite Movie" stipulation. It would make people try something different, because onr thing I have noticed, is that people here don't try new things. They stick to one style, and one style only. For them to improve they need to make other things, rather then just cricket or football sigs.

That's not because of the theme, that's because most of them are beginners. There are some very good GFX makers such as KBC, naresh, PranavPrathak, n3w$r, and fear_09 but you don't see that because not all of them participate every single week.

KBC, Pranav and a lot of others arent beginners lol. What makes you think they didn't follow tuts? They have been doing gfx for well over a year, KBC has been doing it for a lot lot longer.

Graphics forum has gained too much popularity. Now I think It should be separated from Technology and also have sub forum for battles like in other message boards..

WTH? Entry 4 and 5 should've finished better in the standings than they are. Seriously, never want to say that, but that's a no-brainer. They're far better than the entries that finished above them.

Glad we've a new system. Though not perfect....

just one suggestion....
plz add support for widescreen resolutions
eg : 1440x900 1920x1200

You can make the wallpaper as long as its under 1600 x 1200.
