There isn't enough left in their salary caps to even fine The Demons and Landscape 20k each. The trading window doesn't start until after the auction, so I can't authorize any player trades or releases just yet.
Since both still have to buy 1/2 players each, I will not fine them 20k this time. Instead, I'm fining them just enough so they can only get their remaining players at base price, and nothing higher than that.
The Demons will be fined $13,000 out of their balance amount of $25,000, so they'll have to buy both their remaining players at $6,000 each and won't be able to bid any higher. Landscape get a fine of $15,031 which leaves them with only $6,000 to buy their last player.
You could call me guilty of being a bit lenient here and not strictly adhering to the auction rules, but this way they will miss out on most of the players they were willing to spend their money on to teams who've still got a few players left to buy. At the same time they'll have just enough to fill their squads with 14 players.
Sounds fair to me.
