2000 World Championship Entry List
Rules and Regs for the PCF1 World Championship
MANAGING YOUR FINANCES:
MANAGING YOUR FINANCES:
- When managing your team, it's perfectly acceptable to use more money than you actually have in the coffers, but be aware that you will need a budget of at least 2 million at the start of each season, lest you go under.
- Money can be made through any of the following routes:
- Through prize money for your end-of-season results and race wins.
- Through sponsorships, which will be assigned based on performance and RNG results (this will really come into effect in 2001)
- Via a loan from another team, perhaps in return for giving one of their development drivers a place on the grid.
- Money can be spent on any of the following things:
- Drivers and components - these are clearly important for the development of your team.
- Private test sessions - these can be organised for a cost of 100,000, and have a 20% chance of improving your car.
- Loans to other teams - which could be used to gain race experience for a driver.
- The FIA Young Drivers Draft will take place before each season. Drivers signed in the Young Drivers Draft can be retained as development drivers for up to two seasons, before which they must either be promoted to a racing or testing role or be released. For the first season, the FIA will pay the driver's salary.
- The World Championship season has been capped at sixteen races, plus open testing sessions, the cost of which are covered by the FIA. Private tests must be conducted and funded by the teams themselves.
- Points shall be awarded 10-6-4-3-2-1 for the first six finishers in a Grand Prix. No other bonus points shall be awarded.
