PES2008 Demo

Anyone have the faintest idea when the demo will be on the PS3 network?

Not today. The PSN network has been updated already and they've put a load of crap on there. Probably wont be until next thursday now. Also, according to a guy i know who's a proper PES fanboy says that "After an afternoon soley playing the Fifa demo with mate, I had a go on this demo and really didnt enjoy it at all. Shocked myself.". From what i've been reading, PES really has taken a step backwards if anything this year. Not good at all.

To be honest, I didnt really enjoy either demo of both game, but im really enjoying Fifa now, so id say dont make a decision on the game until you've played the full game.

Ofcourse if you really hate it, you aren't going to buy it

Anyway, I've heard that the terrible goal keeping in the demo is due in part to the mis completion of the game - hence the fact there is still a month til release.

Hope its true, or the game will be unplayable

To be honest, every time a PES demo has come out there have been lots of people saying that it's been a step backwards, yet it's these people who still buy it and still love it. All this supposed doom mongering won't deter me from buying it.

Good point dude. I remember when i first played pes 06, i didn't like it because i was used to pes 05, now i sleep, eat and rape pes 06. So it just goes to show.

Here you go mate. Its running at 1440x900, which is not ideal, but its better than the default 1280x1024. Hopefully, ill be able to run 1680x1050 before long.

Cheers Gas. Can't wait for this game. Even though I haven't played the demo i'm willing to gamble and pay the 40 nicker for the PS3 title. It'd have to have been one giant leap of a step backward to make it as bad as the FIFA 08 demo I played.

But the reviews of FIFA 08 have been surprisingly good. So I doubt it will be worse then the Demo? FIFA 08 this year may edge out PES with all he so-so reviews I have been reading. So dont judge PES2008 full version against the FIFA08 demo.
