Ping Problem

I got couple of questions.
1- is there any way we can reduce the ping when we join a game.

2- what is the best possible way to play in a ping which higher than 150ms.
I mean i know we gotta play early but how early is i want to know...

any response/reply shall be appreciated.

1. There are a few ways to reduce the ping on a p2p gaming network -

• Make sure there are not many internet speed consuming applications in the background
• Try to have a good quality and speedy connection

2. This thing only comes with time. You can't expect to smash every ball even if you are the host. From my point of view just play your shots when the bowler is about to jump. In a game like CR, what matters even more is your position. And I can understand it can be difficult in moving the player in laggy conditions. But this is how it goes.

Yup, that plus there are never more than 15 people online. Most of the time less than 10! Only 2000 registered users too, that is way too low. This game will suffer a quick online death thanks to p2p.

The major problem with these guys is their marketing. They need to get it right as soon as possible to attract more users. And I am quite sure that if they try to patch the online play, things will go good for them.

Also, not all people are looking to purchase the game through steam. In the biggest cricket crazy nations like India, Pakistan the game has still not arrived.

I mentioned this to Rafey when I played BETA version. Probably next version will have servers.

It's really awful to play in lag. It takes me about 4 overs to get the timing down usually at which time I will have lost 3-4 wickets. Also those will be the power play overs which are the most important for scoring big runs.

Just one thing. It might just not make a point buying one or two dedicated servers because once there are more than 20-30 online on one server, things will become like hell again.

And we all know how expensive dedicated servers are.

does CR have a LAN options or join threw IP ?

use hamachi maybe VPN it can reduce lag in games what have a ranked stats server, while u playing something has to save your stats which can cause lag even if data gets sent after the game. log in Hamachi help me reduce lag in some games

most games with that ranking crap do lag abit even Battlefield 2 by EA so maybe try this way BUT your stats wont be saved :

only works on LAN I think or IP address

cheers if only we could get ashes 09 with beta patches going on hamachi but no LAN bugger
