1. It appears and disappears = 1st ball of the over then appears after that for the rest of the over.
2. Sometimes only loads wear in if you reload the match. If you play it in one go it wont load the pitch wear.
3. Foot marks aren't really a thing. For me i get sometimes a random square patch of wear about 5ft from the crease.
4. It's nowhere near what it has been on older dbc games.
5. Does it even have an effect?
6. Only real wear I've seen is the cracks appearing and a few light scratches here or there.
I had also noticed the cracks disappearing on the 1st ball of an over (or when a new batter comes in to face their first ball). Visually wear doesn't seem to be as good as DBC but I also don't know the extent to which it is cosmetic versus having an effect on play. For instance would hitting a crack in the pitch do anything different to a delivery? Does spinning a ball into what looks like a rough patch change anything in the amount of turn or bounce?
For both green and dusty DBC 14 pitches look better also the wear and cracks and little details like bowler footmarks, nearby pitch details all seem better with 14.
Really need to step up big time there.
If functional gameplay of pitch can be looked at , i would like more seam movement and raging turn in dusties.
Pitches really need to get character both visually and in gameplay
Green pitch needs to produce moments like these, play in your mind whether the ball is going to hold the line or move. Need to have seam movement like this on these pitches.
This needs to be in game, the seam movement and movement of ball hitting cracks and deviating etc.
And look at that pitch how its looks, need pitches to have wear and tear and looks like that
, the pitches now look drabber than baked dung.
