The Early Years
Many people know that Planetcricket was formally just known as BLC Online (which had files and news about Brian Lara Cricket/Shane Warne Cricket 99) was in its current form started in January 2001, but not many people know that BLC Online actually existed 2 years before then.
The original BLC Online, located at http://brianlara98.future.easyspace.com and still accessible though
http://web.archive.org/web/19991012212930/brianlara98.future.easyspace.com/ was run by Peder Clark and ran from around January 1999 until August 1999 featuring the first Brian Lara Cricket downloads. These included editors like SWEd, squads for the game, new classic matches and the popular records section. One of the first files on the site was a team from Salman or Salman1k who still visits the Planetcricket forums around 6 years after submitting his team for the original BLC Online site.
