For those of you who don't know, this is a Football Manager 2006 story topic using planetcricket members as players in a team.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
"Twenty-Four young men have found their way onto the turf of the PC Dome and into Planetcricket FC. Along with them; dreams of European Football, playing on the big the stage, screaming fans, hot babes, endless attention and money up to your ears.
These things are a long way off yet for Planetcricket FC, sitting in Leauge One, staring relegation in the face. But what these cricketing fanatics/part-time football players may lack in skill on the park, they more than make up for in ambition and team spirit. With some hard work and a lot of luck we may yet see this team rise up to become a great footballing powerhouse..........."
Team Name: Planetcricket FC
Stadium Name: The PC Dome
Chairman: Planetcricket Administrators
Manager: Radaga
Assistant Managers: Carlos Queiroz and Tord Grip
Captain: Jack Teague
Vice-Captains: Andrew Symonds and Hassan Tahir
Board Expectations: "The board expects a safe mid-table position this season."
Media Prediction: "Planetcricket FC have a lot of young talent, which may be exciting but can lead to inconsistency. We should see the team grow in stature as it progresses through the season, but we think it will have a tough first few months. We predict a low to mid table finish, around 15-20th."
Managers Expectations: "We have quite a young side, but i feel with a lot of hard work in training we can be up the top half of the ladder come the end of the season. Anything higher than 10th should be considered a bonus, promotion would be great."

Team Info:
GAME DATE: 4th of July, 2005
I will be playing 2 inter-club friendlies between the first team and reserves to sus out the side. Anyone who impresses in those games will be considered for first team football.
These two games are scheduled for the 9th and 13th of April.
The team currently has a balance of $5m, with a transfer budget of $1.3M. (the money is actually in pounds's but i don't have the button on my keyboard! )
The whole side is currently on $1,300 per week.
My first job will be to sign some coaches and another physio. I think with our budget we should be able to get some coaches that suit our requirements.
I will post again after the matches. At the moment there isn't much more to say except that eveyone's age has been increased by 1 year if you were under 20 to start with. This is just so that we had at least a few players who weren't youth players. It should help us win a few more games as it's going to be quite hard as it is.
Thats it for now, will post more ASAP

Football- A game played on a rectangular field with net goals at either end in which two teams of 11 players each try to drive a ball into the other's goal by kicking, heading, or using any part of the body except the arms and hands. The goalie is the only player who may touch or move the ball with the arms or hands.
