Well technically you can choose anyone but I think you'll find if you chose someone like Hadlee he'd be severely lacking in bowling skills I was looking more at people who had retired in the last 5 years. But still they shouldn't be picked until well into the draft.

Remember this is a First Class draft. All players picked must have played a first class match in their lifetime. Choose players based on who you would pick if you had to assemble a test XI to play a game tomorrow. Just because a player has not played tests before does not mean that they are a bad pick. Likewise, just because someone is retired does not make them bad either. I can't think of anything else to say, so good luck with your drafting!

Retired players wouldn't do as well as players who haven't retired under these circumstances unless they were great players.
