Probably not much, since I'm skipping all the games.
I reckon he'll end up with a FC average in the 50's.

Another regen in my team now has 25 FC centuries, and he's only 24.

Why are you skipping the games? :/

Why are you skipping the games? :/

I have different games, on some I skip, and on some I play.
On my Durham one I skip, and I still end up winning stuff.
I don't have much time, and I prefer to get through lots of games most of the time, hence why I skip them.
If I want to play, I'll just go into one of my other games. ;)

I have a guy who plays every game for England, yet he's not England contracted, wtf is up with that?

Also I have an English AR who I just resigned for $122,500, and he's never played for England, also wtf is up with that?

The guy with a second team average of 125, wasn't even in my default team for 2017. After I edited the default team, my whole top eight have FC averages of over 40, and I have four bowlers/ARs averaging under 30 with the ball.

I have a guy who is pretty amazing at T20s. He bats at 3 and in 37 innings, with 8 NOs, he averages 51.86 with two centuries and 10 half centuries. All that at a strike rate of over 150. He's scored more T20 centuries than OD ones lol

Calvin Flowers in his first season for South Africa has taken 46 wickets @ 19.22 in 7 test matches with 6 five wicket hauls and 2 10 wicket innings as well as 17 wickets @ 22.76 in 8 ODI's.

Dane Vilas has been the inform batsman, going way better than Pelser despite being like 400 points lower than him with 649 test runs @ 108.17 in his 7 tests with 3 centuries. Unfortunately, he has suffered an injury which will keep him out for 2 weeks so I'll need to play a reserve keeper, probably AB or Boucher if I decide to call him in for the next match.

John Dobson - Who said he couldn't Bowl

Player Profile:

Full Name: John Dobson
DOB: 24/08/1990 (22)
Player Role: Top/Middle Order batsman, Part Time Bowler
Major Teams: Durham
Salary: 24,500
Description: Aggressive batsman, strong leg side preference

It's not easy to repeat a season like last and although he didn't, he came close to it piling on the centuries at the back end of the season to finish with 1636 FC runs @ 74.36 with 7 centuries and 7 fifties in 18 matches. That included 2 double centuries. He has already scored 4067 FC runs @ 88.41 in only 38 matches with 18 centuries. His One Day season wasn't as good though only averaging 29 with 319 runs in 12 matches and 2 50's. What surprised everyone though was his bowling. The bowling performance that stood out was his performance against the Unicorns, opening the bowling with his leg spinners taking 7/65 in the One Day match as he now has 17 One Day wickets @ 12.29. He also added another 20 wickets onto the 10 wickets he had taken already in FC cricket with the 20 wickets this season coming at an average of 26.05 with best bowling figures of 4/53. He has a career average of 28.13 now. He did not play any T20 matches in the season.

He looks to be a great player there.

Btw, wouldn't it have been easier to take a screenshot of the stats? :p

You may remember Chris Lingham's career from ICC 09. The captain of Nottinghamshire.

http://www.planetcricket.org/forums/1653994-post669.html

He broke all the records playing over 300 Tests and 400 ODI's scoring 24241 Test Runs and 14457 ODI runs. His FC career was bloody brilliant though scoring just under 43,000 runs with 108 centuries in 555 games. In other words, a damn legend retiring at 47 years of age.

But now it is Chris Lingham again. Who knows the chances of me getting another one. Will he repeat the same career as in ICC 09 or will he fail? He's also exactly the same player type, middle order right hand batsman and off spin bowler.

Lol. :laugh
I don't think he'll repeat what that other dude did, with that salary. ;)

Remember that all youth players have ████ salaries. Dobson had a salary of like 23,000 and he's averaging like 80 in FC cricket. Although he hasn't played too well so far this season. I'll still keep him though.

Yeah, most of the decent ones start with ones around 25,000 though.

We'll just have to see then.

Anyway, John Dobson showed some outstanding allround abilities in his first match as captain. With Di Venuto announcing plans to retire at the end of the season, Durham wanted to try a different captain. Morgan was first choice but as he went on International duty, Dobson was given the captaincy for the FC match against Northamptonshire. After losing the toss, his team was sent into the field. Northamptonshire were bowled out for 227, John Dobson taking 4/22 off 14 overs and 4 catches. Coetzer fell early and Dobson came to the crease. He then put on a great innings, scoring 204 and was the last wicket to fall, including a strong partnership between himself and Plunkett who scored 63. Northamptonshire didn't bat well though being bowled out for 196, Blackwell taking 5/32 but another good performance by Dobson taking 3/39 off 22 overs and a catch. Chasing 7, Durham were 6/1 and Dobson finished the match by smashing a six to take a MOTM performance. What a legend, this guy is.

Deciding to give my Nottinghamshire save in ICC 09 a go again, into probably Wayne Knapp's final year. After Chris Lingham retired, Knapp was given the captaincy always the stand in captain while Lingham was away on International duty. Knapp is now 40 years of age. Making his FC debut in 2024, at the age of 23, he has gone on to be a true legend. His bowling all-rounder skills have been legendary with 1098 FC wickets @ 21.93 in 254 matches, 634 wickets @ 17.73 in 323 OD matches and 275 wickets @ 13.44 in T20 cricket. While in International cricket, he has taken 509 test wickets @ 24.18 in 118 matches, 424 ODI wickets @ 18.37 in 220 matches and 74 wickets @ 14.39 in T20I. While his bowling skills have had him compared to Shane Warne, his batting skills weren't bad by any means, with 10,837 runs @ 34.4 in FC cricket and 5478 runs @ 27.95 in OD cricket with 12 FC centuries and 2 OD centuries, including his only one for Nottinghamshire in this current season, his other in International cricket. He's played very well with the bat so far this season, given a chance to open a fair bit and is averaging 43 and 68 in FC and OD respectively with 1 century in each format. His bowling hasn't been as great though this season with an average of 24 in FC cricket and 21.42 in OD cricket.

Also, Robin Carlisle is one of the best bowlers on the domestic circuit but has only broke into the International squad for a short amount of time. The legspinner has taken 1394 FC wickets @ 23.11 in 292 matches and 588 OD wickets @ 17.71 in 309 matches. He has only played 12 tests with 47 wickets @ 25.4 and 3 ODI's with 3 wickets @ 25. He has also played 2 T20I's.

Also, only 6 players in my squad have not played International cricket in their career, 4 being under the age of 23, one as a backup pacer for when my bowlers go on International duty and one as a backup keeper for if my main 2 keepers are on International duty or injured and he has only made 4 appearances for Nottinghamshire in the last 2 seasons.

I am into my 2038 season as Surrey. And season after season I notice this player in the Middlesex team. He's 32. Still not yet made his debut :D in any form of cricket. Wonder what they are doing keeping him in the squad.

Looks like he might retire without making his debut. :p
