Poor Marketing/Release on PS4/xbox1?

Sorry to disappoint but if you're thinking realistically this game wont release in March 2014... Thats literally under 30 days and we dont have a release date. I think it will get pushed back alot more. which is sad cause these developers seem to have absolute no clue about marketing. You have to announce a release date atleast 3-5 months prior to release. Look at games like GTA for example, which is no comparison to this game but even games that are scaled that high needs alot of marketing prior to release. Look how well GTA did in the market. Now I'm not trying to compare GTA to this game but thats just an example.


Another thing is PS3/360 Era is slowly dieing. Its been like 4 months since the release of the new consoles and once the price drops in a couple of months, 80% of the gamers will move on to the new consoles. Which is pathetic cause they have no plans to release this game in next gen. I think its better to just delay the game and release it in both gens. Or Release the game on this gen and port it to ps4 later in the year.

If you had followed the forums you would know that they are waiting to see how the game goes before committing to port over to next gen.

As far a GTA goes you pick the game that has a huge following before it came out to begin with it was easily going to sell millions with no ad's/marketing. As DBC is a new release without millions already played earlier versions..

You don't HAVE to do anything with marketing... It's completely up to the publishers, It's not law! Saying the dev's have no clue about marketing well done! That's why they are with Trueblu who specialise in it! It costs alot to market a game and why would you spread it out over 5-6 months which would cost wayyy too much for a new game on the market. Instead of doing it in a 4 week burst, Let alone the trips worldwide to get this game out to the buyers. It makes sense! They have a system that has worked for their games in the past so why change a working formula ?

Cause lets face it, noones gonna keep their ps3 just to play this game... everybody is buying next gen consoles and there will be zero community with this game. The online will get dull in a comple of months like all the other cricket games and it will literally just suck. That's why next gen port is a must with the game.

Comparing a first-time franchise game to the single biggest entertainment launch in history. If you don't want to compare them, dont bring it up.

I will like to add about the next gen (current gen), I wonder if all those people who bought them on release are feeling a little silly at the moment, because I look at my local EB and the games section for PS4 is not even 1/3 of the size of the PS3 section.
