Poor Marketing/Release on PS4/xbox1?

I believe the OP is absolutely correct and has given us all - including Big Ant - some valuable insight into the marketing tactics which must be adhered to in order for a game to sell well and be successful. The thorough research into the game's release on various platforms and identification of historical trends for take-up rate of new consoles is very informative and accurate. This is in addition to the general and obvious games industry acumen and intelligence the OP has displayed in his posts.

If I was a long time developer of successful video games teamed up with an experienced publishing company, I would certainly throw all my plans out of the window and follow to a T exactly what this guy says. He knows his stuff because GTA sold well and that was all to do with early marketing.

The game is set to release in March, which is coming up in 1 day, and still no release date is known. If you are saying this is valid then you are the biggest idiot in this world. Probably, even Android developers or IOS developers are this sloppy and slacking in their release progress as BigAnt have been. Stop being ignorant all the time because kissing BigAnt's @ss won't get you DBC14 for free so what is the point? The reality is that the game is set to release in the next 30 days but yet no release date is known which is not acceptable. If you always want to whine about why the game keeps getting compared to GTA when it comes down to release date is because they BOTH ARE NEXT GEN games. You can't say they don't have as much fan following or crap like that since they won't gain any fan following for being this sloppy. GTA didn't originate as famous as it is now but it is their work ethics, quality, and organization that has taken them where they are today. If they had been this sloppy then Rockstar would have been out of business long time ago.

They work as a one unit right? They have to know what is going with the publishing department as well. They aren't living in a hole where they have no clue what is going on with their product after it has been developed.

In the past, their games have been released within 30 days of the announcement. Multiple games. Released within 30 days of the announcement, in some cases, 3 weeks from the announcement.
