Problem loading BLC 2005!!!! HELP

Hi. I bought brian lara cricket 2005 for PC yesterday, so looking forward to playing it (played it before on PS2, its great) and I managed to install ok, entered the disc key when prompted, fine!! Then, when I go to start the game for the first time, a message comes up, saying "general application error. enable debug for more information" or something like that!

Please someone help me to get this game to work, and I would be most grateful!!! I have windows XP.

Do you meet the minimum specification? You particularly need to check your graphics card.
