I have a 30 GB Video ipod.

a few days back, when i connected my ipod to the computer, it showed wrong stats in iTunes.
It was showing audio files as 125.33 gb, and video as 1.76 gb (correct), and pictures as 12.5 mb (correct), also, its showing me free space as 19.78 GB.

I can still copy songs and videos to it without any problems, but the stats seem to disturb me a bit.

I am thinking of formatting it and reloading my stuff... i have exported my library, and i suppose, after formatting if i import it into iTunes, i will get back my songs...

can someone give me any other solution???

well... my ipod is 30 gb,

in iTunes, when i click on my iPod,
audio files are showing as 125 gb which is not possible...

Well if you've inherited more space, then your in for a party ;)

Lol...maybe you have just got the Ipod Classic, earlier than everyone else.

Beats me, you gotta format it I guess. Also update the firmware by using Ipod update software.

ya, i deleted all the audio songs from the library, and synced., that solved the problem.. then i simply reloaded the songs...
