PS3 Slim or just rumour

Sony has come out with report which suggest that the price of PS3 manufacturing has come down 70% over the years. Originally estimated to cost Sony $800 per piece the price over the years has come down to $240.

Does this mean that we might see PS3 slim hitting markets in Christmas this year. The internet is already full with fake PS3 slim video and picture from Philippines.

Apparently this is something but I doubt it. Looks like a modded slimline PS2 if you ask me.

That is a definitely a fake. The rumors actually started after this video came on web and also some images were seen on some blogs and sites.

But recently Sony has not denied about possibility of Slim PS3 coming in market. Sony expects the sale to increase next year. Sony has ordered enough parts to make one million consoles during the third-quarter, which is estimated to be twice as many as those recorded in the last three months.

As Angry Angry said. Its same strategy they followed before launch of PS2 Slim. I have a fake PS3 Slim pic on my blog too.
