Race of Champions

Ohh. Never heard of him :p
Currently driving in DTM. Thats German Touring Cars if you didn't know. They are seriously beasty cars, not at all like British or World touring cars. Here's his RoC profile.

Was a good days racing, plenty of entertainment and some good crashes to boot. There were demonstration laps (but mostly burnouts and doughnuts) from Formula One cars, Lemans Prototypes and DTM. Plus much more. Seeing Schumacher actually getting lapped was funny. Shame it wasn't sold out, the atmosphere was lacking a bit at the start. But i'd certainly go again. I was right up the back in the nose bleed seats (and I mean right at the back, the wall of the stadium was behind my seat) but what an amazing view you get from there. Not for people who don't like heights!

Biggest moan was the catering. I've never seen such useless service in every department. Wembley makes a big thing about having over 600 food outlets, I hope they aren't all as bad as the ones I visited, but I rekon they will be. When we first got there we decided a beer was in order, only to be served by a guy who couldn't use the machine for pouring beer! Yes it comes out of a machine, not a pump! Second trip was for food and Coffee (as it was bloody cold) Basically my choices were a cold burger for a fiver and not much else (Quite possibly the worst burger I have ever eaten too). The one coffee machine was broken. Third trip and I actually managed to get some coffee (eventually). Fourth trip and they were shut! My advise, if you go to Wembley, pack a lunch.

Im not too bothered about motor racing but decided to watch this and was actually quite good, a nice sprited event that everyone tried there best in. And you got a fit presenter!

I guess you got someone different on TV, because we got 2 blokes and on any level neither could be described as fit ;)

Well Monty might swing the other way :p

No - I can't write the words that described those two. One looked like Matthew Hoggard though.

The atmosphere where we were was crap - my mates and I got told to shut up by people behind us. Honestly, we were just cheering. I'm going to te England Switzerland match!!!

Oh a note on Wembley. Brilliant stadium, shame about the crap food.

Ha Ha on sky the presenter was the bird from sky sports news who on at about 4 o clock useually, I can assure you i wasnt saying the guys were fit

Sounds like you had the misfortune to be sitting near the sort of motorsport fan who can identify a car by its exhaust note. Whereabouts were you? I didn't see anyone near me walking around with mirrors on their shoes so they can look up girls skirts, so I guess you weren't near me ;)

LOL! South Stand - right on the halfway line. Fantastic View! Where were you?

Pretty much at the end of the start straight, but at the back, again really good view (I'm pretty sure everyone gets a good view at Wembley anyhow ;)) There certainly seemed to be more people on our side than there were where you were.

Ahhhh....so you saw the cheerleaders then?? They must have got frostbite from what they were dancing in. We could hear every end cheering.....over us....lol

Sadly I wasn't close enough to see how cold they were ;)
