So The IPL opening Ceremony was a spectacular event at The M.Chinswammy Stadium, Bangalore but as soon as it was over it was down to business. Bangalore RC to face off against The Kolkata Knight Riders.

Ganguly Chose heads and won the toss. He decided to have a bat.

S.Ganguly:"The pitch looks like a great surface for batting, its hard and flat and should come onto the bat well. We'll hope to post a big total and hopefully we can get something from the pitch when bowling in the second half."

Shivnarine Chanderpaul received the man of the match Award for his match winning knock of 49 from 25 balls. other contenders were Ricky Ponting and Anil Kumble but they were just edged out by Chanderpaul.



So with the opening night over and our first match tommorow night lets hope that tonight is just a taster of whats to come.
