Random Thoughts

I don't have any research of my own but a simple google search will you all you need to know.

I don't mean rigged towards certain players. I mean rigged for massive pots, to draw 2-3 people into hands with monster flops.

I noticed one guy , real generic name, brady3 . he played 0 hands for 20 minutes then call my raise preflop with 9-3. I caught top pair top kicker on the flop and he got a lovely 2 pair on the river.

Seems dodgy that he would fold for 20 minutes and then call my raise with 93 to catch 2 pair.

EDIT: also got my pocker queens beat twice with pocket kings by the same ███████ within 5 hands.

It really doesn't. I've done it before and just did it again briefly then, most of the sites I have clicked on have been either inane ramblings, contained lots of unsubstantiated claims, been designed to try to sell some sort of product. People who believe it is rigged are far more likely to try and prove it, than people who don't think it is to defend it. The consensus is that it isn't rigged, so why would someone start up a website specifically it say it is? The onus of proof is on the person making the claim.

As I said this could happen, but the fact is no-one has conducted any research to produce solid evidence of this. Observation bias will lead you to remember the big hands, not the times where the BB has been given a walk a few times in relatively quick succession.

I could think of lots of potential explanations for this, The most likely one is something I see in work pretty much every shift, it is possible that he got really bad cards for the 20 minutes and got frustrated. They sit there for ages, then treat a mediocre hand as the nuts.

One incident is nothing to base any sort of hypothesis on.

The other day I had the same guy crack my aces twice in 3 hands. With J7s (he was short and shoved into me) and then he spiked a set of kings on the river two hands later. I see things like that in work all the time. There is one guy, a regular, he is really good and makes the FT a lot.

But for some reason [chance] whenever I deal to him personally he gets bad beat after bad beat and his hands rarely hold.

Freaky things happen in poker all the time, the chance of each freaky thing happening is quite low, but with the amount of potential freaky things that can happen, and the amount of hands that are played mean they are inevitable.

I have read the post about full tilt you have linked too before. Where are the sources? How can what that guy says be trusted?

Well either way I definitely do not trust SportsInteraction Poker. Which sites would you say are the most reputable and have the least likeliness of dodgy dealings

full tilt, pokerstars and partypoker are probably the biggest.

I play on full tilt.

Out of interest how many hands have you played on sportsinteraction poker?

Not many, less than 500. I just saw soo many bad beats and big hands in that period that I did a little digging. The site has been blacklisted on many sportsbook reviews. SHould have done research before

Might jump onto full tilt

500 hands isn't really enough to base anything off either, really.

Although you are probably best off on the bigger sites.

Just keep in mind that at an online table you can play twice as many hands as live, so a 2-3 hour session can see a lot more freaky hands than the equivalent live, they will happen with less of a time interval too so will seem almost constant. Also it's more convenient, so you may end up playing more frequently, which means it's only a matter of time before you have a session with a ridiculous amount of freaky hands in.

Sounds like you have far too much money and not enough outside interests. Go to Florida again or something, go outside and enjoy the sunshine. 12,000 posts in 12 months is not healthy. :)

Im going to keep playing till I lose this 100 bucks I have right now and make a judgment call after that. If I get sucked out on the river for most of it I am done online

I have a house, car, girl, job and moderate social life. I am quite content, but thanks for the advice.

Your house is terrible, your job is shite, your gf is sleeping with your brother and your social life sucks cause your friends hate you. Still content?

;)
