Sweet , Rice Village is actually one of the nicer parts of Houston. Be sure to check out the hill country when you are in Austin too.

I'll try. But, I really doubt I'll get much time in Austin. Probably will be watching my bro.

Hey hey, i'll be applying to Rice University as well. Great campus.

Expensive though...

Yeah, the campus looked great online. Can't wait to see the real thing. Texas is just favourable on the whole too, with weather conditions similar to Dubai. Just used to this stuff now.

I'm lucky in the sense that money will probably not be an issue. But, Rice do have that scholarship they give based on how much of an impact they think you'll make, and it's for everyone who gets accepted.

I need to shortlist my final selection of Unis to apply to. I don't know which o nes are going to be my safe choices.

Not a golf fan, eh?

Had a ROFL moment in the class. The dude was explaining some cables so there was a "Spur Cable".
He meant to say "Spur means" but due to his bad pronunciation, all of us were hearing "Sperm Is" :p "Sperm is" every time he used those words. :laugh

My safety colleges are probably the University of Michigan and other similar schools. I'm applying to a few ivies but my first choice places are probably universities that offer a certain very exclusive program, Rice is one of them. These particular programs are much more competitive than even Ivy league schools, so fingers crossed i'll get into at least one.

About the money, I can't afford out of state fees so I HAVE to get scholarships if I want to go somewhere other than the colleges in Michigan. OOS tuition is so expensive, I wonder how much it costs for international students...

I bet. It's around $55,000 per year on average for out of state students (at good schools, at least). I think it would be somewhere around the $70k range for international kids.

I've a few friends from NZ who went to the US for university, but all of them have some connection that allows them to get in as US citizens, i.e. parents from there, they have a US passport. A few of my friends who don't have these connections got into some US universities, but they were only going to go if the received enough financial aid from the universities to make it worth it, which they didn't in the end.

I just got about 100 pictures taken with an awesome DSLR camera, the pictures are of the England Australia 4th ODI at the Oval, a friend of mine was in England on holiday and went to check out cricket.

Here is a taste, if anyone wants any let me know, they make great wallpapers as the quality is brilliant. Ill be using many for future Spot the Balls :)

Pics are indeed nice. Good to see some pics from the fans view rather than those professional boring pics on cricinfo :p

Has anyone used TVU player software? I tried it and am very impressed with its streaming. Watching Lord's match at the moment without a pause in the stream:banana2
Good to record matches than getting a TV Tuner :p
