Good. It's a noble job, plus you get summers off! :p

I heard TX is the best place to be a teacher right now.

So, I resigned from my new job yesterday (yes, I know I've only been here a week), worked a morning notice shift today, will do the same tomorrow and then I'm done. It isn't for me, in fact, I will be packing in Hospitality all together and I'm 90% sure I'll be doing a degree, most probably in Game Development. But, see what happens. I think you have to do what you enjoy and the stuff I do on ICC is awesome fun.

Probably the best decision SureShort, hospitality is a lot of hard work and tough hours.

am desperately trying to figure out what i wanna do with my life.
career options are so limited here in india. :facepalm
the population makes it even worse!

nothing scares me more than being in a career that requires me to sit in a cubical all day staring at a computer screen.

Yeah, the hours don't bother me so much, it's just the actual work not really ticking my boxes, plus I don't really fit in and you have to work with like-minded people. Though I did enjoy my time at the cricket club (more due to the fact it was a cricket club, probably), but meh, if I'm doing something for 40 odd years, I want to enjoy it, you have to, or you will go mad. Definitely a big decision, Zorax, but it's the right one.

You don't have to sit on the loo to do work.

What about being a teacher or a policeman? I have friends who are both, and live very comfortable lives. Especially the cop.

lol, not in India!

It will probably be tough but you should shoot for Law or something similar. No cubical work, at least.

Imma be an engineer and fix/build things. Work my way up to management. If that fails, cricket writing/commentating/coaching.

That's the dream
:thumbs

Teaching's pretty cool too though. Game Development is epic but could be hard to make a solid living off.

Good for you mate:thumbs. I'm also reconsidering career path. There's no way I'm doing something for the next (near) 50 years that I don't enjoy. Money means nothing if you don't enjoy it.

I think a degree may be the best option. There's nothing job wise at the moment. Nothing.
