Random Thoughts

had my course registration today. only 3 of the 8 courses i want to take are not full. fml. now i just have to wait for somebody to drop one of the other 5 courses. i've been stalking that page like a hawk and refreshing over and over again just hoping that there will be 1 seat free.

Did you miss your registration opening time?
I normally get a worklist ready way before my registration date opens and immediately register once it opens.

Open spaces in courses disappear so quickly, it always pays to get in really early

different people get different registration days and times. i'm not sure how it's decided who gets first dig but it wasn't me. i knew the courses i want to take. i logged in on time to select them but obviously there were tons of people who had their registration before me.

What school are you going to?

Is it just me or do videos always decrease in quality when I use VLC? I have "acquired" a few HD 1080p movies but they look 10 times better on divx or wmp. Any solution?

I don't want to use divx because for high quality video files, the AV goes out of sync fairly often. I don't want to use wmp because if I want to skip scenes, it's not very smooth and is pretty slow. VLC doesn't have any of these problems but there is a very noticeable drop in video quality.

I either use windows media player or VLC. I always prefer VLC, never really noticed whether it lower downs the quality or not.
