Random Thoughts

Yeah apparently a bunch of people here in MI felt the aftershocks of the Virginia earth quake too. I didn't, however...

Oh dear, now there's a tornado warning in Toronto. A tornado already touched down in Sarnia a couple of minutes ago.

We had one here in MI as well. No tornado, but damn the sky looked freaky. The whole atmosphere was like, orange, and the sky looked a deep red. Kinda cool

Well, no tornadoes here but there was an amazing thunderstorm that lasted for almost 5 hours.

Anyone play UFC Undisputed 10 and know how to check your fight history in career mode?:thumbs

Went hospital today for an xray and an appointment with the doctor for my broken fibula 12 days since the injury happened

Had the xray, then to the plaster room where they say according to the xray it has healed very well so far. happy days

So now according to my notes my cast is to come off and im to have one of those walking boot things.
The plaster dude thinks its far to early for the boot and i have to agree with him, although the leg does feel better the thought of having no support whilst sleeping scares me a bit.

Anyway he has to follow orders, cast off, boot on...... the bloody boot weighs a ton believe me.
Now i have make my way the see the doctor to discuss my progress and the do's and dont's of the boot.
Can hardly keep my foot off the floor and getting to the waiting room is pure agony.

Get sat down and just cant see how im in this boot it just dont feel right..
After an hour plus wait, get to see a different doctor as my one is over booked or some excuse like that.

As soon as he reads how long ive been in plaster he cannot believe i have been put in the boot, he explains the healing so far could not have gone any better, however it was as bad a break you can get without needing surgery..
Well thats the first time anyone has told me that..
He takes the boot off and then has a prod of my ankle and the fractured area an inch or 2 above the ankle, and as he suspects as i do......pain !!!

So back in plaster for 3 more weeks, no boot till then, i cant believe im glad im in plaster again.. at least i know where i am now.

Not happy with my original doctor, gonna make a point of not seeing him again..

Back to propping my foot up again and sky sports news all day.. happy days.

A bomb's just gone off in Nigeria. I hope the prince that e-mailed me hasn't been hurt, his family has been through enough already.

Off to put a deposit on a 1.6 Stilo if can agree price with the dealer. Test drove it yesterday, very nice, big enough for a Sureshot and insurance is pretty good for something that isn't a 1.gutless. Though the 1.gutless are all out the question due to size!

It's a 5dr, means I can throw my MTB in there and go off-roading. May be a Fiat, but meh, so much car for that sort of money!

Not sure I like the idea of ?75 to fill the tank though! Ah, fuel tax and thieving corporations!:p 400 miles to the tank, so not too bad.

Move in to college today. Leaving home for the first time and I'm definitely nervous. Going to miss everyone from my home town, and of course my family.
Wish me luck...
