Congrats man, America should treat you well. ;)

@Chewie - it's about 12oC and wet here in Scotland. We call it summer.

12C? You got your suncream on? I'd imagine you've got people walking around shirtless proclaiming that the water supply will run short soon. Furthermore, outdoor pools (usually outdoor ice, I imagine) must be making a steal!!

:p

You guys are very lucky. It's summer in India, and in Delhi where I live the temperatures have recently been soaring to around 45 degrees, and rarely go below 35 degrees. And it's seriously exasperating even with the cooling systems we have.

That's nothing comparable to here in Punjab. With temp rising above 45 C we have power cuts almost after every hour. Working with no electricity at all is unbearable. When you drive two-wheeler, it looks as we are standing in front of fire with all the heat falling on your face.

Heat generally means sun, which, as a fair skinned Adonis I cannot stand. I burn at the slight suggestion of sun.

Speaking about India, are there ever any cooler temperatures. I am massively interested in taking a tour around Asia as a whole (mainly to look at cricket grounds) and could only do so with anything less than 20C.

In Winter, yes. You'd have to go at the end of the year near Christmas time though.

I was in Delhi a few years ago, felt very nice. You can surely handle it.

Further south it is a bit hot though, even in winter. It will be much hotter than in England at any time in the year in Chennai or Hyderabad. Shouldn't be something you can't handle though.
