You at least saw it, we didn't even see it. We noticed its existence after its death.Saw one of those when I was 12 and playing club cricket. I noticed it when we were playing. It was running quickly in the grass straight in front of us. Obviously I shouted immediately and then everyone ran to our coach. However we still played cricket after few minutes, changing our playing area few meters from it. Never thought about what would have happened If I had not seen and informed my mates about it though.
The other part of the snake is carried by the cow catcher of the locomotive. Else we would have completely known if it was heading towards us or not. Seeing its body and the way it was moving, its tail is away from us and head was carried away.Totally missed this post on my 1st reading, wow, dude, count yourself lucky.
Don't really have snake stories of my own, sure I've come across the odd snake, but nothing that's made me think "oh man, had I not payed attention to my surroundings..."
I bet you'd all ---- your pants if you saw this. Happened to a buddy fishing up in Dallas. That's why we keep a 12 gauge in the boat. All snakes shot dead on sight
