15 hours! Delhi is such a village :p
Haha not really, but we've been subject to longer power cuts in the past - probably about 10-15 years back. The situation has improved immensely, but experiencing a 15 hour power cut wouldn't be such a big deal for us, as would be for people who don't know what a power cut is.
We have inverters and generators to cope with this, people in NZ are unprepared for even an hour's cut.

Yeah, even Mumbai's gone a long way. 4-5 years ago we used to have a 2-3 hour power cut in the summers. Power hardly goes now.

Haha only 15 hours? In Pakistan, people survive almost the whole day without power.

We had a 5 week power cut about 15 years ago.

My power came back online after about 16 hours. Was browsing at my uncle's place because mobile data was down in the area as well

Ouch.

About the closest thing to that for me was losing gas for a few weeks after the Longford explosion. The minor inconvenience of having to boil a kettle for hot water and not being able to use the oven and stovetop was very minor compared to not having power for that long.

We got the kitchen replaced several years later - ended up getting an electric oven and a gas stovetop, so we'd have one or the other if anything happened to either.

Hopefully one day I can just get solar put on the roof and not care.

I've only ever experienced power cuts on 3 maybe 4 occasions and when they occur they only last for half hour at most.

It depends on the areas. I took majority of the areas into consideration while stating that.
