Out of 10 it would be 8 so I had to give it 4. I still cant believe that a decade later cricket games still fall short of Brian Lara Cricket '99 for features and enjoyment. Compared to BLC99 graphics are obviously better and so is bowling but the player models in BLC99 are better than IC2010 and so are the variety of features for example Classic matches and random World Cups with different groups.

offline a solid 4 and online i give it 1.

ditto offline is a solid 4 for me but online portion makes the rating down to 3.

just pointing something out, but isn't the "action cam" and "shot power control" in ea cricket 07?

4...It's a good game I'm happy with improvements just the small details that annoy me such as many bowlers having slingy actions, poor customisation features and few animations. Still, it is a large step towards a world class cricket game and it has been (so far) very enjoyable to play

4/5

Action Cam and Power Stick make batting much better and test matches much more realistic (in ashes to score at a reasonable rate you had to aim for the boundary fielder)

More realistic bowling lengths

More edges behind and more bowled wickets

More intelligent AI

Slightly increased amount of customisation (equipment + stadiums)

No exploits (yet)

There are some negatives such as poor animations, a few graphical glitches and the batsmen hitting a back foot 6 off a yorker every so often but these do no spoil the gameplay experience for me, they are just an inconvenience.

I give it a 4, I love it and am really enjoying playing, much better than AC09. The only down for me is the commertary it really gets on my nerves.

I know what you mean Mark but the problem is offline longevity will only remain for so long - after a couple of weeks you will get used to AI and then that's about it. AC09 was great due to online gameplay but IC10 doesn't have that redeeming feature either.

@anveshs,
Let's talk after you have played the game for a couple of weeks and are comfortable with the AI. Every game looks great at the start but the main thing is replayability of the game after the novelty has worn off. That's my main issue and if online gameplay was as good as AC09 would have rated it around 3.5

I reckon I'll hold fire on this one, and see if people are still enjoying offline in weeks or months to come. I'm being blown away by Smackdown v Raw 2010 on PS3 right now, and Fight Night Rnd 4 will be with me soon, so I'm good. :)

Big mistake Steve. especially knowing you being a Test cricket fan. This is the best Test match game out there, have not won one yet, and have yet to post more than 250 in an innings.

I also absolutely smashed AC09, offline and online so its not as if Im a horrible player.

Solid performance at 4/5. I have played for 2 days on Hard Level and really loved the pace of the game. I have played on both of the camera settings and kinda liked both.

Probably would have given 5 if the graphics were up to the mark and some glitches weren't there. It seems like a patched up version of Ashes Cricket 2009 if the Action Cam wasn't there.
However, I think its the best cricket game ever on a console so far.

Offline...Haven't played much!
Online... 0

The broadcast view sucks online. I thought the bowlers action was better to look at in Ashes 09. Some of the shots the batsmen play are so god damn unrealistic that it makes the game look foolish!
Action cam is a bloody joke playing online!
All in all, since I'm more of an online player, it didnt impress me much!

just pointing something out, but isn't the "action cam" and "shot power control" in ea cricket 07?

Well, even I liked those cricket 07 features. Dont know why still people like IC10s action cam and shot power control more than C07s.
