Your Cricket really bad crack on the back of my bat

Coat it in glue and get a fiber-glass toegaurd mate.

ive been looking around for one of those, but all they make now is those rubber ones that sit right at the bottom of the bat, nd they dnt even work lol
have you got a link where i can buy one ?

ive got some super glue today and opened up the crack and glued it togetherthen i got some bat tape and taped round the crack, its kind of worked, i ll get it fixed at the end of the season if its worse.

i ll post a pic of it later on

heres the pics of what ive done to my bat and a few pics of my bat aswel :D

nah, ive got enough up the sides, that was done a long time ago, ive added the part round the middle of the crack

You need to put much more on it.
To tighten it to the rest of the bat, otherwise it'll just come off next time you hit the floor or toe the ball.
Probably in your next game or net session.

puttin loads of tape on it wont do any thing it wil just make the bat bluky with a big peice of tape at the bottom

You need to do it tighter.
Push the bit thats crakced off back into the place it should be.
IOtherwise it will just come straight off and you'll have to get a new one.
Personally I still think you should do as AA suggested and glue it back up.
Its just going to break off if you dont.

well ive came up with a idear:
im gonna take the tape off tomurow then put the bat in a vice and squeeze the crack together, the glues really good.
i looked at the crack a min ago, and the glues dried really strong, i can only push it together right at the top which is like a hairline crack lol

I cant be bothered reading anymore than 3 of the first posts to see what people put, but my plan of action would be to...

1. Go to your local cricket shop and get them to do it,

2. Glue it yourself and try to leave it compressed whilst the glue sets, like in some kind of grip so the crack doesn't open anymore,

After taking it out of the grip once the glue has set, put lots of tape on it and i'd advise maybe a sheet of anti-scuff, that might help it...

And i took a quick glance at your "salvage" job, it'll do nothing :p

My advice now, glue n anti-scuff sheet, and please please please get a toe protecter, much less likely to happen :p And cheaper!

I can tell you for free that if you've stuck the fibre glass tape down properly you'll probably end up pulling some wood up when you take it off.

If you pay the postage and materials (one scuff sheet, some tape and toe guard set) I'll fix the bat for free (I normally charge upwards of £15 plus materials).

ive added you on msn, can you go online and i ll talk to you about it

ive sorted out the crack today, i used a flat screwdriver to open up the crack, then i put glue inside and put the bat into a vice and im going to leave it over night. i also re attached the toe guard :D

The best idea is, to get rid of your woodworm, then brake easy and there a village bat. Get the new Newbury with the weights.
