I dont quite agree with the thread being named in favour of Michael Holding here. This is a thread for active cricket players. Start a separate one for your commentary fanbase.Been pretty much the voice of cricket for me. Won't be the same without him.

It ain't off-topic if it's the thread title (:In all fairness, the "Holding retirement" should not be discussed in this thread at all. It sets a wrong precedent that one can discuss off-topic elements on this forum.
Ehh? So tomorrow if an umpire/match referee/coach/cricket admin were to retire, he would get a mention here?It ain't off-topic if it's the thread title (:
Come on, is this really a big issue?Ehh? So tomorrow if an umpire/match referee/coach/cricket admin were to retire, he would get a mention here?
I would assume the retirement thread talks of active players only, not of players-turned - whatsoever
Mo Ali announces retirement from Test cricket
Moeen Ali to announce retirement from Test cricket
England allrounder uncomfortable with spending extended time away from home for winter's Asheswww.espncricinfo.com
If I look back at his career, I think he exceeded expectations on some levels. 190+ Test wickets is no joke for a bloke who came into the side as a batsman who could bowl part time.
I am very unhappyHope this announcement is OK in here mind, since he's technically not fully retired. Would hate for you to upset the Retirement Thread police...
Aren’t you always?I am very unhappy
