Returned to desktop???

Installed BLIC 2007 on xp. Played it for 2 days. Installed vbrun files and editor from this site. After loading the game and choosing the relevant options (Menu etc. works great!) the game loads about half way then WITHOUT giving any reason returns to desktop!!!

It is driving me insane!

Uninstall and reinstall game - Same Problem!

Format Harddrive Installed XP again, Installed BLIC2007 again, - Same problem!

Any help? (sounds impossible? It's TRUE!) LOL!

i hv a similar prb. am playing the game on a laptop but the config is gr8 -- dual core processor (2Ghz), 1.5G RAM, ATI Mobility FireGL V5200 (512MB)..

any ideas!? game loads half way and returns to desktop..only for certain stadiums tho..works fine for ICC WC and Champions trophy matches..doesnt work for a lot of other grounds..also cpu never ever chooses to field after winning the toss?! whats up with that???
