What a year. It was one of the classical years of cricket. There was The amazing knockout cup!, The suprise result in the West indies tour of New Zealand and The ODI Series Beetween Pakistan and Sri Lanka, We wont go throught the ashes because that was went through in many a show.

We will first go through the amazing highlights of the first world knockout cup which included Eight Teams, Australia,New Zealand, West Indies, Zimbabwe, Pakistan,Sri Lanka,England,and South Africa.

I like this New Zealand line-up, apart from the fact that Fleming should be captain, and I would like to see Jacob Oram there instead of Hamish Marshall, as there are only four recognized bowlers.

Anyway, decent start to the story mate, the Aussies have posted a very strong squad with the likes of Warne,Gilly,Haydos, McGrath and such, not to mention all the other talents we have!

New Zealand Collapse!

England dominated from the start with a wicket in the 7th over to Steven Harmison after 4 overs of consinstant bowling. The batsman making a school boy error playing a good length ball on the offside to the onside getting an edge and hitting it straight to flintoff at midwicket.Lou Vincent out for 6 runs, New Zealand 1-13 off 5 overs

He's not coming back....

It is really slow going here. New Zealand being vary careful with the good consistant length bowling by the English. Stephen Fleming looking set but not playing the attacking shots very well

A rare boundary to Sinclair

HE'S OUT great delivery by Harmison. Geez he is bowling well. Stephen Fleming Does the same mistake as Vincent but he is caught at mid-on 2/38 off 20 overs Bowling Harmison 5-0-2-10

Giles bowling Very well from his end only giving away 5 runs from 4 overs.

What a time to make a bowling change! Flintoff comes on for harmison, and he takes the prize wicket of sinclair! He goes for the big slog, It goes straight up in the air. Giles takes it with no worry at all

Sinclair disgusted with himself.

3-38 off 23. New Zealand being very over cautious.

N.Astle and Mcmillian have to rebuild..and fast. they were batting slow and letting lots of maidens go through off Englands great bowling untill Giles struck with a suberp offspin delivery which the batsman did not even know about. 4-47 after 25 overs

CLEAN BOWLED!!!!
