Beijing has stunned us all, yet again, by defending their score of 182 with a fantastic bowling performance! Dublin's runchase never really kicked off - they got just 41 runs in the powerplay and lost star batsman Hobbs early. With a required rate of 10 an over, Dublin looked out of it, the dressing room silent as they realised they had nothing left to play for. Offcutters lit up the innings though with a valiant, unbeaten 86 off 56, playing shots all over the ground, but never got the support he needed from Simbazz who plodded along to 59 off 49 balls from the other end. With 14 runs needed off the last over, a Dublin win was still very possible, but Suren kept things tight and dismissed Simbazz to leave Dublin 5 runs short. Beijing are back on track, and Dublin are out of the competition!
