No idea about Bangar’s influence but Hesson brought a clear strategy and thinking to RCB that they sorely lacked in the past when they were relying on individual talent or luck to take them through even if the results haven’t been too kind to them. Unless they have a plan in place with someone similar to pick up where Hesson left off I believe he’ll be missed sorely.

The other thing is, with Hesson's departure, they are left high and dry- especially with him looking after the Women's IPL team as well. If this indeed is true, they would probably go after a high performing individual - they've done this in the past and dont expect that they will shy away.

Phil Simmons, Lance Klusener or even some one like a Greg Shipperd (doubt though he would leave his current AUS+USA setup)are options they can consider. Another left field, but erratic option could be Graham Ford. However, given his history of signing and declining contracts, might not be the best placed.

Simmons was quite meh with the West Indies but that may not be entirely due to him. I’ve only heard good things about Zulu if they wanted to opt for him.

From my sources (Gurukirat), RCB plan on hiring Deep Dasgupta as their Head Coach with Rashid Latif being their betting coach.
