ok we start with some easier words

Hello means Здравствуйте Zdravstvuyte

Goodbye means Прощай Proshchay

friend means друг drug

comrade means товарищ tovarishch

dude means чувак chuvak

dog means собака sobaka

female dog(B*tch) means сука suka

cat means Кот Kot

pancake means блин blin

(my russian isn't great, so this should say: Many thanks. But, I think "goodbye" is do' svidaniya or poka? Correct?)

For hello, more informally you can also say "zdrastvooy" or "privet"

Very interesting! My girlfriend, and consequently my daughter are what we call Doukhobors who emigrated to Canada to escape religious persecution in Russia, only to find much of the same here. They are specifically from a branch known as Svobodniki which means "free people" but usually called Sons of Freedom or Freedomites. They do however still speak a Russian dialect, although much removed over the past 120 years from what is now spoken in Russia. Sort of like Quebec French or Creole compared to what is spoken in France.

I have been trying to learn much of it for my little girl's sake, living in the city she has no exposure to that side of her culture. Her mom only speaks a few words so she only really hears it from her Grandmother.

TLDR; I find this extremely interesting and thank you for taking the time.
