Sam's ExE Patch

I have a feeling the runout bug is fixed too. I was bowling for a while with mid off and mid on fielders placed mid way through. Most of the times CPU didnt try to run when the ball was played to mid on or mid off. Couple of times it did run the fielder had a shy at the stumps and missed the stumps resulting in 1 run each time. I was playing on a wet pitch, can anyone else who has tried this patch please let me know if the run out is still happenning?

Sam, excellent work on the exe mate. I am truly impressed with the cursor not being displayed too soon, it is indeed challenging to play. I think you have pretty much revived this game with these fixes, take a bow.

Excellent, im looking forward to getting home and trying this patch, i might not be the greatest player but i would much rather it be difficult then easy, and if the runout bug is fixed then WOW thats even better....

Great work Sam, could you release one without the cursor removal though? cricket 2004 animations are so bloody slow, more often then not u don't have time to get into position to play the shot you want.

I just gave bowling a go, and the runout bug is well and truely there, i had india 2/5 lol.... Sam you have any idea on how to fix this bug?

Its more of a challenge with the cursor hiding, then you won't be getting 300+ scores ever again in a one dayer :)

i've noticed the patch also acts as a no-cd patch as well. good stuff saves me from switching cd's!

Sam,this is really the special work have been done by you.You have really make the game much better and make this really impressive.I also noticed much swing as well.As I was playing with patch 6.0 version and it was really cool.Cpu missing and playing nicely.Furthermore, the cursor hides totally in easy mode, nice for those persons who wants to experience with no cursor dispaly at all,as it is good combination that things are easier but cursor hider makes it hard.

Hats off to your talent and hard work.

being held below 300 isn't ideal when you use australia! who just thrashed India for 359 :). Keeping the scores below 400 would be more reasonable.

359 is very random, but its not that random for aus to hit the 300 mark in odi's especially on current form

I haven't tried the patch yet, but I'd like to thank Sam for putting the time and effort into making this patch. I've been hanging out for this for ages, now I can get stuck into some foriegn tours and with the AI patch it should be a real challenge.

Well I just tested this new .exe in a 10 over match Australia A vs. Zimbabwe. Firstly this patch seemed very good apart from two problems I had.

1. After I had a run out decision go to the 3rd umpire, I was given out but had 1 run still added on to my score.

2. When bowling, everytime I bowl straight, the computer just leaves the ball and normally gets bowled or lbw (I'm not sure if this is a bug from the new .exe or not and I will do some more testing to see if it still happens next time).

Apart from those 2 problems, the rest seems good and also I don't seem to get that run-out bug anymore when the computer is batting.

So far this patch has been amazing - seemingly its fixed the line up and run out bugs.

Batting is challenging also, and all this with one exe ?

Sam, please can you look at the default fields as this is all that is left.

Very well done indeed

The runout bug is deffinatly not fixed, and micheal the cpu getting bowled problem is from ravi's 7.0 patch i believe.

You are being far too picky- the majority of one day scores for 50 overs are under 300 - teams (like Australia) do it on occasion, but you cannot expect ravi (or anyone else) to make a patch whereby 300+ is the norm, as on the whole it would be unrealistic
