A few observations:
Manual Appeal (F5) - There is quite a big delay on this. By the time the players appealed I'd already got the batsman out with the next delivery. Anyway of making it happen on the same delivery?
Bowleds - As a lot of people have observed the ball is going through the middle of the bat...
Delivery mark - Is this now random? Is there anyway we can control whether the bowler is wide of the crease or right over (through!) the stumps?
Runouts - Does this exe include the runout fix or was I just being unlucky?

As barmyarmy rightly pointed out,there is a big delay in the manual-appealing feature..swing and runup varitaion features work well (dint notice speed difference yet,although i havent played much as yet) !!

Wow.

What can i say this is awesome. I am going to use this for my story i think. Bowling is great fun, although it is a little bit to easy to get edges as a result of the extra movement.

Things i noticed:
1. What Colin said, i did get one bowled and it seemed to go through the bat, if i put batwindowsize up to say 6.0+, will this be eliminated? And willl this help decrease edges.
2. On some deliverys using say the normal delivery if you tak the pace off the ball it seems to zip through faster than a full speed delivery, is it supposed to be like this?
3. As already stated it would be nice if the manual appeal option happend, on the same delivery.

Thats it for now, thanks alot for your work, this improves the game no end. Have some rep!

Great work anyway.

Just like to add couple of things.........

1. While bowling CPU appeals for no reason. I hit the ball normally and cpu appeals for it.

2. Sometimes a straight ball which will obviously miss the stumps comes back at the last moment and hits the middle stump.(this is no swing or seam)

3. The delivery variation for the cpu should a bit less often.

4. All the points mentioned by barmyarmy above.

I dunno whether its just this but i found that the ball went through the bat only when the bowler went over the stumps? just an observation. I would like a little less edges. but good work sam.

Maybe,MoleBox comes into picture somewhere here.I was looking out for what Molebox actually does and got the following info ::

"MoleBox is a runtime exe packer for Windows applications. It bundles the executable together with the DLL and data files into a single EXE file, without losing the ability to run the application.

Moleboxing does not affect the original application's functionality in any way nor requires any additional coding. Unpacking and decryption (if required) are performed automatically and insensibly for application. Packed program runs without extracting files to the disk."

Maybe sam has used it to create his exe_demo and as such i hope this might help him debug the problem !!

Well sorry you guys cant get it working as it has really got me back into this game once again.

I am now using it for my story, but im having to edit the config editor drastically, as the cpu just cant seem to score runs. I currently have CpuDifficulty 0.000001, i have increased batwindowsize to 10.0. They now give away less edges. I have also edited these settings as i found it stopped them moving half way accross the wicket to block when it should just be left alone
CpuContactHorz 0.0
CpuContactVert 0.0

I have reduced the pitch speed to 0.0 to try and help them, and myself score runs using this exe. I love this so much i determined to get it workin.

I may be forced into putting all the shot power settings up abit aswell, because of the extra movement it is hardly to sweetly time the ball. Batwindowcentre is on 2.0 for cpu but on 0.0 for me. Again i find this helps the cpu to find the middle of the bat more often, especially when blocking.

If anyone else wants to try these settings, post some feedback here.

Any other advice on what i coul edit to make the cpu bat better using this exe?

As for the problems Pat and Jose are having im not really sure. Jose i just followed Sam's instructions, and it worked perfectly. Make sure you have all the dll files from the planet cricket 'essential files' download centre.

Pat, i aint got a clue what your errors are sorry.

*Note, having BatWindowCentre at 2.0 seems to stop the problem of the ball going straight through the bat

Which button are you using to get the swing, i have noticed everything else, including, I am getting fast cutters that move like seam on a green pitch but no swing :crying

Any delivery gets swing with me, just move the dot to the far left, or the far right and get the power meter right to the top

aware of all these

. as for as manual appeal just press the key only ones while batsman plays a shot just like real one does anyway this is just a start.
now coming to edges & unusual wickets i have done intentionally to see what kind of reaction ,i made them very tight as it would do every now and then.
Nothing is done with swing or seam.yes colin it's possible to make user to move the player of course only while bowling
