Second PC T20 Tournament

My first game with sameer:

Because I am crap!

To be honest I really don't like playing this game anymore.

Not trying to be a sore loser or anything but the game is fundementally broke.

As a bowler I just dont feel my good balls are worth anything. Anybody can just hit everything out of the park. There are not tactics involved; just smash, smash, smash. I find that very, very boring!

Dont get me wrong you are all great guys and I have no problems with being beat. I just feel I have to play non-cricket when "playing" this game. Its more like bash the penguin or something.

To be honest, I agree the game is fundamentally broken. Any game that involves greater risk in playing grounded / defensive shots in comparison to slogs / aerial shots is broken. However the thing is that you can restrict the opposition to around 160 and still lose if you bowl well. Tactics are definitely needed although tactics for the game are drastically different from real life tactics, that's where the game is broken.
By the way, I know you think EA 07 is very good but if you get a hold of the controls, you can hit more balls out of the park than Ashes 09. I have a friend how played the game the other day after a year and he managed to hit around 280 in 10 overs. I mean seriously that is just ridiculous. I believe when playing multiplayer, the best game in terms of bat and ball equality has been BLIC 05. I know it's very arcady but believe me you could back yourself to defend 100 (not in terms of run rate but by taking all 10 wickets) and that makes it good.

Recently I played off-line after not touching Ashes for a couple of months I think: put it on hard in an ODI; turned it off after batting for 7.1 overs: result I had already slogged 170 runs.

Thats just not fun anymore.

AI didnt respond at all: kept the same stupid attacking field that you would only see for soem kind of utter tailender and just bowled the wrong line for the field setting anyway. Crap!

Cricket 07 pacing is excellent with the patches I have got and I have to play properly otherwise I lose, and they are good tight games.

I was a great fan and supporter of this game when it came out but it has been released in a rush and it is just broke. Broke. Broke!

It would eb great if we could put all the good bits from each game into a super-game.

This game has some great things about it but as an avid cricket fan I want to be tested in a game by cricketing tactics. This game can not do that at all.
 
Sorry for cluttering up the thread guys with my ranting. I'll grab me coat and my artificial leg and be out of here!!!!:p
