I think the games what cannot connect should be void(abandoned)and nil points to the 2 players involved ..
Had my game against Dutch. I made 339 in 16 overs. He was all out for 21. Unfortunately, there's something wrong with my keyboard, I am unable to take screenshots!
Thank goodness there are no screenshots!!!
I am sorry but I hate this game online sometimes. Everything gets smashed, wahtever you do and batting is a nightmare with the lag, or am just a griping old git who can't face up to the fact that he is more cr@p than he thought??????????????????????:::sarcasm
Evertying does get smashed, especially if you come down the track. Coming down the track can result in sixes even if the ball is not perfectly timed. That is just plain wrong. I think you shouldn't have bowled more than four overs of spin. I know you got like 3 wickets off spin but after the third over, it was more of a gamble and I guess it didn't pay off. two or three medium paced overs might have kept it to 280 or so. The main problem was that the lag was huge and you had only one fast bowler to exploit it and that too at around 80mph compared to Johnson who can bowl around 95. With that sort of lag, Johnson was always going to be unplayable.
Now he tells me!!!
So do you advance down the wicket a lot????? Is that what I need to learn??
Actually I didn't used to do it. It seemed kind of unfair to hit a ball for six when it's not perfectly timed. But almost everyone does it so I decided to do it as well. However the main thing I thought you could've done was to work the fast bowler in the gaps for singles or even just play his overs out, stay aggressive against the medium pacers and have a slogathon (advance shot) against the spinners! Ofcourse when chasing 340, this strategy goes out the window. Like I said had it been around 280, you could've done it this way. Yes you should try the advance shot, practice the timing against the medium pacers a little and one can go a long way in this game!
Oh yeah one more thing, always have square leg and fine/short leg! Even if you are going to bowl outside offstump!
Okay some good tips there! Thanks. Oh and by the way: well played! it's unfair just to gripe at my "inability" and not praise your ability. So well done!
Thanks mate, although I still feel you could've reined me in when the spinner took two quick wickets, like I said keeping the spinner on because he was taking wickets (as opposed to bringing back the pacers to control the flow of runs once the wickets had fallen) was a gamble and it didn't pay off, on another day it could have and you would've been chasing around 200 (very gettable I might add).
