I came to know about sex, condoms, etc almost only when I came to the 9th grade (by which I was 14 yrs old). And I studied in India till my 11th grade. So, King_cricket's situation is not abnormal for a guy living in India (if he really is!). In India, sex education is not that widespread. Why someone needs sex education at 2nd grade is something I cant understand. As you approach that age where you might see these things, educating at this time would work.
