Single foolish game will not success

If this is a new annual release it's the best thing for the game and sport and us gamers. If not it's heightens the perception it's a rehashed DBC17 with licenses

Do we really think BA are going to release a game yearly, ala FIFA or PES? Be great in a way but would we ever see great innovation as surely just be small incremental updates (would that be a good thing?)

My gut tells me release every 2-3 years ?

I agree also because it's hidden in the name where the ashes is not an annual event.

Reality bites... And I'm not talking about the film, but innovation would be lacking and we end up with a FIFA situation were some guy having gold boots and long shiny hair is justified having a new game and marketed as new (when they've taken it out years ago) considering I read that then still people buy It, makes them suckers to the EA marketing monster... ?

With the name Ashes Cricket this could easily be a 2/3 year release but I'd have to imagine Big Ant would be aiming to be the cricket quivalent of FIFA, with full licenses. If not, then at least PES, with selected licenses. When it comes to branding, regardless of how often the Ashes take place is there really a more recognisable 'brand' in cricket? FIFA and PES have moved things on from the days of slapping the name of a star player on game to sell it. So why not have an Ashes Cricket game each year.

Nothing wrong with that, but it would be nice to go with an 'international' theme that somehow incorporates every nation/fan. Obviously some wouldn't care and still buy the game for its features rather than the name, but to some it may appeal to.

Yeah they should release it every year and call it Big Ant Cricket 2017 2018 etc. And hopefully if they can get licences from ICC then they can call it ICC Cricket....I know I want abit too over the top..

Every 2 two years to tie in with each Ashes series would be good. Give them time to do proper innovations....
