Sorry England...but your no chance in hell

We outplayed Australia in at least 3 tests maybe even 4.

exactly..

let's not forget, that at the Oval, even if it hadn't rained (or badl ight), Australia would have been chasing 340+ in the last inngings.. thats doesn't happen very often in test cricket..

Also as a side note:

Australia failed to make 400 in any innings this series..how long is it since that happened? (my guess ..a bl**dy long time)

In Ashes series 78/9 when they had been decimated by the Packer defections.

Well, shows what drugs can do, Don't do them kids!!!! (gas) :D

What big difference would McGrath had made? He played well on a seamer freindly pitch but got hammered on those that weren't. Remeber that Simon Jones was used reluctantly by Vaughan and McGrath was the front line bowler. Anyway, at least we have a good bowling attack for the next 5 years!!!! Best bowler you will have is Lee!!!!!

I feel sorry for jarryd he will really get a hammering from the English fans,

Why did you made this thread geez,

good luck.

So let them hammer me. And when they've had the Ashes for 19 years straight, been #1 in the world for years, won 2 World Cups straight and beaten India in India then they can say they are a champion side.

Until then Australia>England.

How can you say that? If Australia dont play as well as they did in the past 5-6 years, and England continue to win matches and series then surely England will be better than the Aussies. You can only compare teams on current form.

But yes, we do have a lot to do if we are to reach the highest level that the Aussies had attained prior to this Ashes failure. But the Aussies have declined since then. And at the moment the Oz graph is pointing downwards while the Pom graph is going upwards.

At the current moment in time, England are better than Australia, it's a fact, we won the series and completely outplayed you, bar Lords.

England don't have to hold the ashes for 19 years for us to be as good as you, thats just reaching the same heights you did, as m vaaughan said. Right now we are the better team, and if we still have the ashes in 19 years, we would have had to beat you for 19 years, therefore making us the better team for 19 years! If we get to that length of time, then we can sa we were as succseful as your time now, there's a difference.

Beat us on our home 'turf' and then you shall brag about being the best....

But until then, we are still the champions. :happy ;)

Yeah, I'll buy that. You'll need Warne and McGrath though...
