South Africa's tour of India - October/December 2015

I like the look of the side. At least it has the intent. Its not a hopelessly defensive side that we used to pick in the last few years. If those guys can go out and execute, the balance looks okay. Maybe a batsman short but not bad. Hopefully we can get to 350-odd and stay in the game.

All these lucky tailenders that Philander has gotten so far, on top of that he has been carterd around...

I was looking for you when the over rated de Villiers was making runs for fun. Wonder where you were. One wicket and 6 overs doesn't a hero make. There's a lot of cricket left.

First session to SA. One more session to them and we are staring at a sub-200 score here. This is one of the reasons that the 5 bowler theory could backfire. The current lineup is prone to collapses. Hope these two take us to a fighting total.

I think in an ideal world Umesh Varun would be our pace attack. Varun however has been far too inconsistent. I have always liked Varun immensely, more than Umesh, but while Varun can be excellent (still remember his dismissal of Moenn Ali to that inswinger), but he is too wayward for his own good. Lets hope he comes good here. Hopefully this will be where he finally emerges.

I Will be on the train soon. Will have to miss Out on 2 days Play. :(

I think we're in desperate need of 2-3 more bowlers like Kapil DEv or Srinath and even like Zak. Currently our pace bowling is 'Babaji ka Thullu'. I think fortunes can change when Shami returns for the tour of Aus and the WT20 2016 at our soil. Kohli went for 1 is is also a bad thing for us. Lets hope the rest of the day goes in our favor.

Just switched over to Aus vs NZ, and Aus are killing NZ right now. On a side note, I think India should have atleast two test grounds with boundaries as big as Australia. Well not as big as Australia :P, but as big as some of the big grounds in Australia. Watching cricket on a ground that big has a charm of its own.

I disagree. The ODI series was really close except the last game. India could`ve easily won the Kanpur and Rajkot ODIs. The result could`ve shifted to the other side with a few good overs for India or with Ashwin bowling his quota at Kanpur. It was that fine a margin.

Well, I'll take your point because I missed the first ODI. From what I saw, MS made the thing look closer than it was. Honestly, what worries me is that Dhoni and Kohli have won a lot of matches for us in ODI cricket after 2011 and outside of them, I didn't see a major stamp your authority on a series performance from anyone. I'm not saying no one else contributes, but the consistency is surely lacking.

Coming to a more general view, I can't agree more with the others about the grounds, pitches etc. etc. We need to restore the 'purist' avenue of tests in a home test series.

Just had a Morning Cup Tea and I am seeing some amazing things, England 64/6, Aussies 336/2 and India 90/3 :yes

The five best teams competing one another on the same day. Cricket, you beauty :thumbs

^ Why leave out NZ. They are not far behind and are #6 on the ICC test ranking table. Its best 6 teams playing.

I think if Varun Aaron can produce a few of these deliveries then India will be fine.

Damn, we are losing wickets to part-time spin again. We are possibly the worst players of part-time offspin at the moment.
