I cant bat against spinners! Whats the best advice to play these types of balls? Ive had nearly half my team wiped out in one over! :(

Spinners shouldn't be that hard to play. At worst you should be able to block them.
But the usual advise applies, practice in the nets until you are sorted then get back out and hit some 6s ;)

Make sure you play the spin! I hope I dont offend you by stating the obvious, but hey that might be the problem. If the ball is going to turn away from you, play a cover drive or cut or something, dont try and sweep it for example. But why not just block out the over if your not confident. Until you work out which sort of shots you should be playing blocking might be an option.

No, not a problem, obviously Im missing something here. What do you mean 'play the spin'?

I felt sorry for my wallet as I saw my Cricket 2005 pack collecting dust on my shelf, whilst I was playing Brian Lara International Cricket 2005 so I decided to bring it down and give it one last go.
I've been having fun too. I decided to take my beloved England on a tour of the little known New Zealand and Zimbabwe. The first match, against the Northern Districts, saw me come up against some spinners. I can tell you now, the best way to play a spinner is to advance down the wicket and play it into a gap.
If you're not comfortable doing that, then just block or leave in that over!

Ive been caught by blocking on a couple of occasions now.

How are you getting out to them?

When Ive played a forward defensive shot sometimes Ive been caught. Alot the time I get caught LBW by trying to play a cover drive or sweep.

I think he means play with the spin, which the game doesn't really care all that much about. It sucks how useless pulling and sweeping is.

A few tips I've found for playing spin.

1. Back foot drives work well, if you time it and don't use the power shot.

2. Dependant on the field, and your confidence - if the ball is pitched almost on a length, and slightly to your off side; advance and use a power shot on drive (shift+legside arrow+down arrow). The timing for the advance shot is that you hit d when the ball leaves the bowler's hand. Just be ready with the 'w' button to get back if you miss. Stumping is always a possibility when trying this shot.

do you have to say "hehehe" after every sentence? It sounds like your mocking him

^ Don't get me started on people who can't use English. I'll get into trouble. Makes me veeery angry.

By playing the spin, he means watching which way the ball is going to turn on the pitch. Play with the spin, so if it's a leg break to a right hander, look to cut or play through the covers. Likewise for googlys, and off spinners, play leg side shots, unless it's outside off and not turning much, in which case play through the off side.

no no no , its just a friendly gesture...:) nothing else...hope his spin probz solved...
