Sportsbook - Requests and Comments

It can be hosted by anyone really. But what I'm not sure about is the way the odds (if at all you're referring to having a SB event for each round) will be set for the outcomes. Surely a higher odd would mean it's likely to be far off from target?
Do evens for all the odds?

Anyone interested in NBA Sportsbook events?

Didn't want to derail the tour thread, so continuing it here.

The odds should directly be taken from places like betfair before the toss
Yes, this is what is being followed to date. We don't have a fixed site to refer per se; it's up to the creator to decide where to get the odds from - when I create, I get them from bet365.

I'm fairly certain that odds are not created as per individual's wish, but thanks for letting us know your thoughts. Gives us an idea about what others feel about numbers - that information is always helpful.

I don't care about all this but there needs to be a system to have Vcash back if there's rain.
You can look at the forecast and bet on draw. Rain is part of the game, unfortunately.
I have been the part of SB team myself for most of my time at Planet Cricket and I believe I can give my insight over this. If I remember correctly, we do get an option to push the wagered amount back to members if there is no possible outcome from that particular event. A fair example is match called off due to rain.

But this is just a speculation game and possibility of wash out is very rare. Hence, adding that as one of the options is not necessary. But we can use the above method (returning the vCash) if required. :)

The odds given by these guys is absolutely bullish!t
In the last two years, more than half of the events have been created by me and I took odds from bet365 in all events (except TPCL).

I don't know who the "bookie" is but it seems as though this is made for him to win and for the others to just lose

Won - 26.5 M
Lost - 36.1 M

This is not my intention @ashutosh and also the others.

I am really not willing to argue about what is in the past. I believe all you guys do a very good job and I think this aspect makes it a bit more fun when the cricket is dull. I am not blaming anyone. As a user of this feature and because of my competitive nature I have experienced that real life odds and odds offered here are very different.

Without arguing about anything that has happened in the past I think a rule should be made to refer to a particular website which is recognised by regular forum members who play this fun game on a consistent basis. I also feel bookmakers should get more as they take the trouble of organising but there has to be a limit. I think for example if the odds are 1.65 in the real world then you can give 1.60 here. I don't mind. I find a lot of games, specially with associate teams involved having absolutely bogus odds.

This is my opinion and I will reiterate that everyone around this makes it more fun for us so thanks. And since mid game bets are not allowed, washouts should have a push feature.

Surely you guys are not awarding DC as the winner of the 2nd IPL game? That's a PUSH in any form of betting!!
