It should be run by 1.45, not 0.45. Every dollar you put in, if you win, you get 1.45 back.

Eg, if you get $100 you get $145 back. If you lose, you don't get any back.

Get that?

Say with this bet, it's the one I used for the example. If I bet 100 vCash on Barcenlona, how much would I get back?

I think you misunderstood what Howsie said. You are both right. Hedger, you would finish with $500 after making your bet (get your $100 back plus $400), but you would only physically win $400 extra compared to before.

I'm still confused. Looking at my past betting history, I placed a bet on Chelsea (17000 vCash) against Sunderland. The odds were 8/15 and 0.53. I won back 9066. Does that mean I won the 17000 I originally put down and the additional 9066. Or does that just mean I lost nearly half of 17000.

This is right.

Ok here is how this work: Say an event is created and the Payout is $0.50 on every $1 bet for the team that wins. You place a bet of $10,000 on a team and the team wins, you would get $5,000.00 $(10,000 * 0.50), plus you get back your original amount you placed on that team, in this case $10,000.00, so once the event is settled, you would see you received vCash of $15,000.00 $(10,000 + 5,000.00).

I'm an idiot, bare with me. If the odds are say (0.45), for every 100 vCash I bet on for an event, I'd get 45 vCash or 145 vCash back if I won the event?

You would get 45 vcash back plus your starting amount so 145 in total. That is why guys put huge amounts on "safe" bets...even if the returns are very small it can still add up. Say you put 100 dollars on a 0.01 bet and you won you would get 1 dollar back plus of course your starting 100. Now if you put 10 million on you get 100000 back. Pretty good return for an almost certain win. Thats why people put massive amounts on say someeone like Federer he's virtually guaranteed to win; higher the risk, higher the odds in your favour!:)

if you have 0 vCash, when a new event is opened you get 100vCash. But you wont get another 100vCash when another event is opened unless you have 0vCash.

That sucks. Some people really don't deserve a second chanse :crying
