Attention Firefox users: Firefox 3 is almost here.

The Mozilla team are soon to release the third version of their popular internet browser. This version features thousands of improvements across the entire application, from personalisation to internet security.

To celebrate, they thought it would be fun to have a crack at the world record for most downloads in 24 hours. If you already use Firefox, you're probably going to download it sometime anyway. So, why not be part of the record attempt? All you need do is put down your country and email.

I mainly use Opera but have started using FF. They are both extremely good and are ten times better than IE. I used Safari at one stage but didn't like it.

I think Firefox looks much better and I prefer it but for some reason 3D flash games don't work in it for me, not that I play them much anyway but it's just a bit weird.

I have the same problem.

Java sometimes gives me a problem in Firefox, otherwise it rocks!!

Firefox is far better. The new Internet explorer is awful, whoever decided that the address bar should go above the menu, is an idiot frankly.

I think most of the times the menu bar is expected (by MS) to be hidden. But anyways FF is far better than IE.

I don't really care about how a browser looks, I want 2 things from it, functionality and security. Firefox gives me that. Having said that, I haven't pledged to download it, trying to get everyone to download something at the same time sounds like a good idea, but I'll wait until the fuss has died down and enjoy a much faster download.

They can call it "downloading by Royal Mail" on release day.

I will download FF3, but as Kev says, when it takes a few seconds, rather than ten minutes.
