Omid Djalili is worth a go. He's on the same level as Russell Peters IMO. Also check out his film 'The Infidel'.

I watched Omid Djalili's stand up on TV and he's not even remotely funny. He forces crappy jokes on the audience. Russel Peters is so much better than him.

Michael McIntyre anyone? Surely the Brits on this forum have heard of him?

Yeah, he always on TV here. Annoys the hell out of me, he drags on and is sooo overrated.

he's terrible. Anyone who finds Michael McIntyre funny instantly goes on my enemies list.

I agree that sometimes he goes on about a joke for too long but generally he's quite funny. To be honest, he's one of the better British comedians going around. Who seriously finds people like Russell Howard funny?

He's got a new show which Ricky Gervais has been in. Gervais said something along the lines of him being one of the best comedians in America, so he must be good. But I remember watching him on Comedy Central, and thinking this is a bit extreme. Might give him another go.

Michael McIntyre is one of the people like Russell Howard.

haha

Got to love Frankie Boyle.
