So Derbyshire lead by 52 runs and we will need a good batting preformance to come back from this one.
Game stuff up didn't really matter.
Surrey vs Derbyshire. Day 2 End of Innings.
Despite the game stuff up the Innings still ended up about the same score that it was the first time i played it.
2 runs after the tea break and Bicknell put away any questions of a bigger partnership than 63 as he Bowled Taylor for 34 off 83 giving away not one chance.
Stubbings came out for 21 runs with Birt but couldn't hold out Mahmood any longer as he got bowled for 15 off 31 balls. This started a collapse.
After Mahmood got Stubbings first ball of the over B France showed his face but was left running back to the dressing room as Mahmood bowled him for a first ball duck. The hattrick ball and the one after were dots but than on the 5th ball of the over Mahmood got G Welch LBW for a duck off 3 balls. This excellent over of 3 wickets got the score in Surreys favour dramtically at 6-124.
Pipe came out and with Birt they rescued Derbyshire with a 101 partnership and got Surrey upset they couldn't go on with that great advantage the Pakistani international Mahmood gave them. Pipe finally went for 33 mainly playing the rock as Birt scored most of the runs in that partnership. Pipe went thanks to an Ormond ripper which he had no choice but to play at and resulted in Clarke taking the catch.
During that Partnership Birt got his Hundred just before the tea break.
A 34 8th wicket partnership with Jones and Birt got the score to 259 until Mahmood got Jones caught by Brown for 16.
A 1 run partnership followed before Birt got out for 130 off 289 balls with 15 fours and 1 six cuaght and bowled by Mahmood.
Lungley and Dean had a 10 run partnership before Mahmood got his 7th wicket with dean gone for 1.
Suprisingly Kumble didn't pick up a wicket but Mahmood got 7!
